Five Anderson Alumni recognized as 2026 Women Who Mean Business honorees
Albuquerque Business First recognized the outstanding achievements of the 2026 Women Who Mean Business honorees at a celebration held on March 27. Among the 26 distinguished honorees, five are proud alumni of the Anderson School of Management: Jessica Kuhn, Marisa Magallanez, Mia Petersen, Roberta Ricci, and Roberta Rivera.
The Women Who Mean Business awards highlight influential women across the Rio Grande region who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact in their industries and communities. This year’s recognition of five Anderson alumni underscores the school’s continued legacy of developing leaders who drive meaningful change.

Jessica Kuhn, BBA ‘04, MBA ‘08, is the Albuquerque Market President at Enterprise Bank & Trust, bringing over 20 years of diverse experience in the banking sector. A proud native of Albuquerque, Kuhn has held key roles in various areas of banking, building a strong foundation in both financial services and commercial real estate. Her deep commitment to community involvement extends beyond her professional achievements.
“This award fills my heart because it’s not just about individual success—it’s about the amazing women who support, uplift, and walk alongside us,” said Kuhn. “As a mother of three little girls, I think about the example we’re setting every day and the doors we’re opening for their future. It’s a reminder that success is never achieved alone, but through the strength of a team, a community, and the people who believe in you along the way.”

Marisa Magallanez, MBA ‘06, is the president and CEO of Albuquerque Community Foundation and New Mexico Community Trust. With over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Magallanez has led the strategic growth of the Foundation through innovative government and philanthropic partnerships. She is dedicated to advancing equity and civic engagement across New Mexico. Marisa holds an MBA in Policy and Planning.
“It was so special to be named a 2026 “Women Who Mean Business” honoree. I am deeply grateful for all the women who have played a part in my story — the ones who opened doors, shared their wisdom, challenged me to grow, and stood beside me along the way. This recognition reflects not just my journey, but the collective strength, mentorship, and community of women who continue to shape what’s possible for all of us.

Mia Petersen, MBA ‘15, is the account director of Lumen Technologies where she drives growth, innovation, and strategic partnerships across the technology sector. Mia brings a unique blend of operational leadership and relationship-building, enabling organizations to scale effectively while staying grounded in purpose. A respected voice in her community, she is committed to advancing opportunities for others and shaping the future of leadership in New Mexico and beyond.
“Being named a 2026 Women Who Mean Business honoree is both an incredible honor and a deeply personal milestone. To me, it represents not just professional achievement, but the relationships, resilience, and community that have shaped my journey,” said Petersen. “I’m inspired to stand alongside such powerful, accomplished women—many of whom I’m fortunate to call friends and mentors—and to continue building pathways for others to rise. This recognition fuels my commitment to lead boldly, lift others up, and make a lasting impact in the communities I serve.”

Roberta Ricci, BBA ’06, is the Chief Experience Officer at the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce, where she leads the Convention & Tourism, Membership, and Marketing divisions and oversees the Chamber’s signature events. Under her leadership, the Chamber has achieved record-breaking outcomes in tourism revenue, membership growth, and community engagement. In addition to her BBA degree, Ricci holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from UNM. Ricci is deeply committed to advancing economic opportunity, cultural celebration, and inclusive growth across New Mexico.
“Being recognized as a Women Who Mean Business honoree reflects my life’s work: breaking cycles, pushing through adversity, and cherishing the opportunities that I have been afforded throughout my career,” said Ricci. “This award represents possibility for women in leadership roles, first generation professionals, and anyone who has ever questioned whether they belong in these spaces. It’s a reminder to keep working hard, to always be kind, and to mentor and support the next generation of leaders. Sharing this honor with other Anderson alumni makes it even more special, and I am humbled to stand alongside so many incredible women making a difference every day.”

Roberta Rivera, BBA ’97, is a Community Relations Specialist at Sandia National Laboratories, where she has spent over nine years strengthening community engagement. She led the Sandia Gives United Way Campaign, raising approximately $4.4 million annually, and managed a $1.4 million corporate contributions program, alongside initiatives supporting local families. Passionate about culture and belonging, she has held numerous leadership roles and earned recognition for her impact. An Albuquerque native, she holds an MBA from The College of Santa Fe and a MA from Webster University.
“I believe that all awardees contribute and give back without expectation of formal recognition. However, being selected as a Women Who Mean Business awardee was truly self-affirming, and I’m so grateful I agreed to be nominated. What I find most rewarding is the inspiration this award provides — encouraging others to recognize and nominate the remarkable women they know and respect,” said Rivera.
