Countdown to Graduation: Anderson announces alumni speaker for Spring convocation

Each semester, the Anderson School of Management invites a distinguished alumnus to share words of encouragement and insight with graduating students, drawing on their professional experience and personal journey. For the Spring 2026 Convocation, Anderson has selected Stephen Griego as the alumni speaker in recognition of his decades of leadership and lasting impact on the Anderson community.
Griego brings more than 40 years of experience as a logistics and supply chain executive and entrepreneur. Over the course of his career, he founded and led two successful companies: Distribution Management Corp., Inc. (now DMC Logistics) and AeroLynx, LLC.
DMC Logistics has grown into the Southwest’s leading provider of “final mile” delivery services, supporting a wide range of manufacturers, distributors, and service firms. AeroLynx specializes in charter air services, transporting passengers and time-critical, high-value shipments across the United States.
Central to Griego’s leadership philosophy is creating workplace environments where employees feel empowered to share their perspectives. This is an approach he believes cultivates stronger and more effective leaders.
Griego earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Anderson in 1980 and has remained an active and dedicated member of the community ever since. He previously served on the Anderson School of Management Foundation prior to its dissolution.
He and his wife, Lydia, are the naming donors of the Innovation Center in the McKinnon Center for Management. The Innovation Center is the primary hub for the Learning Lab, where students receive peer-to-peer tutoring for business classes.
Griego was inducted into the Anderson Hall of Fame in 2024 in recognition of his professional success, significant impact on his community, and ongoing commitment to education.
Griego currently serves as the southwest president of DMC Logistics. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys spending time with his lifelong partner, Lydia, and their two daughters.
The Anderson Spring Convocation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 4 p.m. at the University Arena, “The Pit.”
