A Self-Paced Online Master of Cybersecurity and Business Analytics
A fully online 33-hour program with impressive career results, the Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Business Analytics (MSCBA) examines information security and security risks that impact business and government.
You can choose between two specialty tracks — Cybersecurity and Business Analytics. Courses are application focused, presenting case studies and examples that introduce the most widely used analytics tools and techniques.
The program is ideal for students with an undergraduate degree in business, accounting, computer science or computer-related engineering, information systems, or information technology.
Online MSCBA Curriculum
- 33 credit hours
- Courses offered in eight-week, self-paced online format
- Program can be completed in 14 months, full time
- Courses include data mining, text mining and sentiment analysis, digital forensics, security risk management, and advanced IS security leadership
You must take six credit hours of Management Group courses. If you have earned a BBA from an AACSB-accredited school within the past five years, you may substitute an additional six credit hours of technical courses for the Management Group courses.

Admission Requirements
- The Anderson School of Management uses a holistic admissions process. We consider many factors, including GPA, work experience, program alignment, prerequisite coursework, and test scores to make an admission decision. All applicants are required to demonstrate proof of an earned bachelor's degree prior to applying.
- At least 30 credit hours of undergraduate or graduate courses in management, accounting, information systems, computer science, computer-related engineering or any combination thereof
- Basic programming knowledge is required and must be demonstrated on official transcripts
- Courses at UNM that meet this requirement include MGMT 330, ECE 131L, and CS 152L
