Dual Degree Programs - Earn Two Degrees in Less Time

As a graduate student at Anderson, you can pursue an integrated course of study by combining two master's programs, known as a dual degree. A dual degree plan allows you to earn two master's degrees by sharing a maximum of 12 credit hours credit between the two degrees, reducing the cost and time to earn a dual degree. You must submit materials to apply to the master's program within three semesters of beginning the first master's degree. Anderson offers dual degrees with the following programs:

  • MBA/MS in Project Management
  • MBA/MS in Cybersecurity and Business Analytics
  • MBA/Master of Accounting
  • MS in Project Management/MS in Cybersecurity and Business Analytics
  • MS in Project Management/Master of Accounting
  • MS in Cybersecurity and Business Analytics/Master of Accounting

To pursue a dual degree, you must follow these requirements:

  1. For current master's students: Contact your advisor to discuss eligibility, develop a dual plan of study and provide application guidance. For future students, contact an admissions counselor to discuss eligibility and application guidance.
  2. Prepare a personal statement for the dual degree program, including a description of why you want to pursue dual degrees.
  3. Work with your program advisor at Anderson to develop a plan of study combining both degree plans, indicating which courses will be shared between the programs.
  4. After receiving admission to the first program, submit application materials, including application fee, to the second program. Include the plan of study signed by the program advisor. Submission of these materials must take place within three semesters (including summer) of your acceptance to the first graduate program. Acceptance by the second program establishes your status in a dual degree program.
  5. Both degrees must be completed in the same semester.
